About this tour

The ride is 35km in total which isn’t far for most regular riders, and we do it at a leisurely pace with plenty of stops. From Burswood we ride to Kings Park and then to Herdsman Lake and Lake Monger which are normally teeming with swans, ducks, and wading birds. We stop for a BBQ lunch and then ride up the coast with the glittering Indian ocean on our left and the sea breeze behind us.

The tour finishes at Hillarys Boat Harbour where you can shop, visit the Aquarium (AQUA), swim at the protected beach, or just hop on the bus and head home.

What you should bring

We provide the bike and helmet, and you should bring a hat (a cap is best to fit under the helmet), phone/camera, sunglasses, water, cash payment for us unless you have prepaid and $4.50 for your fare back to Perth.

Meeting Point and time

Burswood Station is on the Thornlie railway line.
If you leave Perth Central Railway station, platform 4 on the 9.07am train, you’ll get to Burswood at 9.15am which is perfect. If you miss that train there’s another 15 minutes later and we’ll wait for you to arrive, but the 9.15am train is best.

Get off the train and walk forwards and turn right to cross the railway line. Head down the steps, across the road, and down another flight of steps and we’ll be waiting at the bottom (Burswood Resort and Casino Car Park)
